International Avocado Trade Exhibition (ATEX)

The international avocado industry is rapidly evolving, including significant changes in the production and trade flow of avocados in Africa. Notably, avocado production in Kenya increased by 12% to a total of 128 kt in 2023 and continues to grow in 2025, making it one of Kenya’s top fresh produce products.
In 2024, Kenya exported 58% of its avocados to Europe, 36% to the Middle East, and 5% to Asia. As production expands, so will exports to these regions and new markets. To support this growth, HPP Worldwide has initiated a new international avocado trade event to promote investments, production, and exports of avocados in Kenya in 2026.

From Tuesday June 2 to Thursday June 4, the inaugural International Avocado Trade Exhibition (ATEX) will be held at the Oshwal Center in Nairobi, Kenya. This event will focus on farmers, marketers, investors, producers, and exporters in this fast-growing industry. It aims to address the current status of the sector, promote existing and new export markets, and bring together all those active in this high-potential fresh produce industry, which continues to innovate with this healthy and delicious product.
